Included in every engagement

Routine operational tooling is included in the service fee. Customer-specific cloud hosting, backup storage, licences and usage charges are billed separately at cost unless the quote expressly includes a defined allowance. The quote identifies included resources, retention, usage limits and approval requirements for additional spending.

Every engagement includes a baseline security and provenance pass and runs on infrastructure built for access discipline. This is part of the work, priced in; it is not a separate product.

Baseline screening. Every engagement includes a baseline dependency, exposed-surface, license and provenance screen appropriate to the agreed scope. Expanded repository review, historical provenance investigation and recurring change review are separately scoped.
Written record. The baseline pass produces a written findings or evidence record, so decisions trace to what was actually checked.
Encrypted vaults. Engagement material and credentials are kept in vaults encrypted at rest. While a vault is open, working plaintext is held in the authorized session workspace.
Controlled access. Access is controlled through the agreed vault and approval process. The quote identifies the systems, access method, approval boundary and evidence retained.
Private by default. One vault per engagement, one access list each. Access and export are limited by the agreed engagement boundary.
Canadian hosting option 🇨🇦. Where available, systems and backups can be placed in Canadian infrastructure. The quote identifies the physical location and jurisdiction of each system, backup, and third-party dependency.

The baseline does not promise complete vulnerability detection, legal copyright clearance, certification, guaranteed security or a particular remediation outcome. Expanded scanning, remediation, legal review, certification work and emergency response are separately scoped.

Customer-specific costs: Customer-specific hosting, backup storage, alerting usage and domains, unless the quote includes a defined allowance. Routine operational tooling is included.
Taxes: Sales tax extra, as applicable.
Renewal: The term ends at month 12 unless the quote states renewal; renewal is a new agreement.

How the plan works

A service plan covers a defined 12-month term. The quote identifies the start date, covered systems, service limits, acceptance conditions, renewal terms and early-termination treatment.

You may choose one of three billing schedules for the same service scope:

Monthly in advance: payment must be received before the first of each service month.
Quarterly in advance: 4 payments, each due before its 3-month period begins.
Annual prepayment: one payment before the term starts.

The monthly list price is the reference price. The quarterly and annual prices shown include prepayment discounts. Your quote confirms the exact amounts, payment dates and any additional incentive. The quote shows the calculation as separate lines:

recurring list value;
payment-timing value calculated using the stated prepayment discount;
any additional commercial incentive;
setup and discovery fees;
third-party costs and taxes.

Prepayment does not expand scope, increase the agreed monthly capacity, create unlimited support or guarantee a particular outcome. Any discount is confirmed in the quote before signing.

Setup and discovery fees are separate from recurring service pricing. A waived setup fee, recurring discount and other concession are shown separately so the value and recovery terms are clear. If the client terminates early, the quote states whether the remaining committed balance, waived setup amount or another agreed amount becomes payable. Refund treatment for prepaid fees is stated in the quote.

Your fee buys ongoing stewardship of the agreed systems. Scheduled upkeep, reviews, reporting, requests, changes and triage share the plan's defined monthly capacity. The fee does not vary with actual hours worked. Before work starts, the service order confirms the total monthly capacity and that the scheduled work fits within it. New features, larger changes and work beyond that capacity require approval and are quoted separately. Unused capacity does not roll over unless the service order says otherwise. Additional work requires approval and is billed at the rate stated in the quote, normally CAD $200/hour for general work and CAD $250/hour for security implementation work, or under a fixed-scope quote.

Discovery fees purchase a defined requirements, risk and acceptance package. Delivery is quoted separately using the estimated labor, specialist costs, third-party costs and an explicitly stated risk allowance. The quote identifies the assumptions behind the estimate and no delivery begins until the client accepts it. Unless the quote states otherwise, the risk allowance is shown as a separate line and is not applied to third-party costs or already-priced setup work; the allowance varies with uncertainty and delivery risk rather than a fixed percentage.

Services that overlap are consolidated before quoting so the same maintenance, monitoring or security activity is not charged twice. Human support is limited to the agreed coverage hours. After-hours or emergency response requires a separate staffing plan and price.
